my daughter has a whole group of American kids.

The weekend before last, she organized a writing marathon, doing this nano thing(pledge to write a 50,000 word novel in November), 6 kids came to my place and they wrote, chatted, and laughed till 2:00am, each still managed to log 2,000 to 5,000 words.

this past weekend, they got together again, went to Harry Porter movie together at 10;20 and then had sleep-over.

THis was all possible because my hubby was away this month :-D.

Therefore, if the parents are open and permissive to kids making friends, they can make friends with anyone. One boy originally in their group is a muslim and ended up having to move back to India with family, they still keep contact via life journal.
