The cost of living varies from one state to another state, one province to another province and one country to another country. It makes sense to calculate child support based on the law of the local city where the kids live. The key issue here is how to determine your income? One US dollar is not equal to one canadian dollar and also not equal to RMB Yuan. From what I know, if you make $40000 canadian, it needs to be converted to US $ which is less than $30000 when calculating the child support in USA. Same, if you make $40000 RMB Yuan in china, it is about $5000 US dollar. Check USA guideline and you will see how much you need to pay based on the converted income. You pay more if you make more. It is a fair game to both sides.
Calm down.
