IT may cost $1300 - $2000, pay it yourself! Don't think of claim to your insurance company.
I had that experience, that claimed a accident ( my fault), then my insurance fee increased from $1500/yr to $3500/yr!
AND, the claim will be on the record for SIX years! can you afford that: (3500-1500)*6?

The highest insurance fee I've heard in Ontario is $11000 /yr.

I hate the insurance companies in Canada!
