Did you know what he did before checking the STF lavel.

It require that engine/tranny running at NORMAL operating temperature, and change the shift level to all position and stay each for three seconds, then wait for several minutes.

To reach the NORMAL operating temperature, you need to follow certain precedure, depending on the outside temperature, the distance you drive, etc...

Again, you need to get a manual. It will tell you how.
