1. if it is the compressor is Enganged and disengaged too frequently, you can try to get a top off can from autozone or walmart. it comes with a simpl gauge. you will know if the pressure is low or not. it costs about 10-15 buck for a whole thing, including charge hose and gauge and a can of R134a with oil. always charge it from the low pressure end. for camry,the low pressure side is located near the firewall.
2. bearing itself is not expensive. but a lot of time these people like to change the "spindle" all together, which can run in a few hundreds. but if it is just to replace the bearing, i would say 60-70 bucks plus 1.5-2 hours of labor.
