not sure for MB. but for other non-lux car, such job will cost 400-500 in most of places. i bet the evaporator is leaking. the only way to get AC work again is to replace it. usually, drier needs to be replaced as the same time if the system is leaking. I guess for your car, the expensive one is the parts. AC work never comes cheap. just for MB, it comes with extra cost. hope it just uses R134a. otherwise, you got another killer there for your pocket book.
