It is not unusual that a car had an accident and was fixed (particularly, the body) professionally that usual people (like me) can hardly see the re-paint job. One day I took a friend of mine car (that car had been badly hit in the front hood by a deer) to a dealership to sell it. The dealer looked at the car, opened all the doors, hood, and trunk and went over through the entire body. Guess what, he said the car was hit and pointed to me exactly where it was hit. I was shocked and asked him what is the trick to see this. He said, it is not seen by eyes, it is "seen" by touching. Then he showed me the trick. Here it is: use your finger go along all the edges of the door, hood, truck, etc. It the car does not have re-paint job, all the edges should be smooth. Otherwise, the edge(s) is rough. Thus I followed his instruction and found the re-paint places by myself.
From then on, I have used this trick to examine all the used cars and did find problems, which really impressed people a lot. Hope this is helpful to you.
A trick and a tip
