If a student's math foundation is strong, AP physics is not that hard. Calculus-based AP physics (in a good high school) requires solid understanding and masterful application of calculus. Not everyone is ready to take calculus-based AP physics. However, if the student's math is strong, there may not be many problem with calculus-based AP physics. Just pick the right equation and plough through.
