Somewhere in time
Somewhere in time,
over a fire fluttered many a butterfly.
They were fanning the flames,
relentlessly from sunrise to sunrise,
till the fire summoned their names.
Somewhere in time,
I’m lost in a land of graves.
So people tease I’m no longer wise.
But I still feel the butterflies’ waves,
and the moment of their demise and rise.
