UCB EECS admission data points

1) Boy - Perfect GPA, USAMO, wait-listed, (perhaps no EC related with CS?), went to USC

2) Girl - GPA 3.9, AIME, USACO Gold, SAT close to perfect, wait-listed, went to CMU

Have not understood why they were not admitted.

And who said it is easy for girls?  Obviously not in this case
