No genes which increase intelligence have been found on the Y chromosome, but there are some Y-chromosome genes which are expressed in the brain. These may cause brain problems when they malfunction. In particular, some versions of the Y chromosome appear to be associated with increased aggression and alcoholism, and certain genes may influence diseases that are more common in males, such as ADHD, addiction and autism. Some studies suggest that the duplication of Y is associated with ADHD and autism.
