Congratulations! You have been nominated by one or more Henry M. Gunn High School faculty members to receive the Faculty Cup Award for 2020.
Established in 1966, the Faculty Cup Award is presented to two outstanding seniors as representatives of the best in their class. The award recognizes the qualities we value, and is presented to the two who best reflect these.
Since its formation, Gunn has viewed education as richer and more complex than test scores and percentile rankings; our Mission Statement lists traits of confidence, creative thinking, adaptability, respect for oneself and others, and social and ethical responsibility.
Considering such traits, faculty members nominated seniors who are particularly deserving of special recognition based on their scholarship, leadership, service and influence. The award is a token of our gratitude for what the seniors have given back to the Gunn community. Being nominated is a high honor.
The entire Gunn faculty will vote on the nominees, and the winners will be announced and given their awards in June (or possibly at the December commencement ceremony).
