在你们的挣钱声中，我们穷人完成了省钱的tax return

今年比想象的复杂，儿子的education credit；去年itemized deduction后的refund和年初计划的retirement account没放足需要交22%的margin tax rate，通过IRA deduction补救，必需填schedule 1；州税莫名其妙地多出来两个新表。。。好消息是，联邦税加州税的refund，够儿子交他的Roth IRA了。老婆说奖励两瓶酒，嘿嘿。

 

填完税表，第一件事就是调整2019 年的retirement account放的数量。好消息是去年一年的实践，知道儿子大学开销和两老自己的生活开销了，可以比2018 多放，但还是不能放儿子上大学前的数量。儿子上大学前估算的把taxable的收入压缩到只交12%的margin tax rate的战略基本实现，后面三年的家庭财经安排就顺畅了。太太的公司生意开年后大好，不仅没有layoff，还给员工大涨工资，所以，她现在的梦想就是三年后退休，回上海照顾年迈父母一段时间。至于我博士后，经费一年一年来，工作也只能干一年算一年，干到儿子大学毕业也成了最理想的结局。

太太签字前检查了我的“作业”：字迹工整，不用上计算机在PDF文件上再敲一遍了。就这么上交！呵呵
