哈哈，这哈佛还上不上？

刚看了一篇朋友介绍的文章，哈佛医学院迎着批评中国基因编辑baby的风暴，准备打擦边球，从人的精子开始基因编辑。美国法律是NIH的经费不能做胚胎试验，麻省也不行，只能另找地方。其实，上个月领头的科学家还在中国考查。。。

他想做的是老年痴呆的遗传病，好像是一个碱基对的改变。很可能不需要贺博士的基因编辑的basic版本，而是David Liu在develop的碱基修改技术。不用切断DNA，而是直接修改DNA上的碱基。但无论如何，最后是要到胚胎和人的。

哈佛医学院的院长参加了香港的会议，在贺博士的talk之前发言。他事后没有condemn贺博士。他觉得是可以考虑用基因编辑来防止疾病的时候了。他要改的基因里，ccr5，就是贺博士改的基因，就是其中一个。他批评贺博士的主要是这个实验过程不透明。这种探索阶段的，透明度高，集思广宜，其实对政府和科学家本身也有好处。

 

哈哈，据说领头搞老年痴呆的那个科学家在同事里咨询过，基本都同意基因编辑的方式来对付遗传病。。。哈佛这么多科学家这么疯狂啊！！！你们儿女上不上哈佛，要三思。。。我家不用考虑了。
