我当年读本科时曾想去读控制论，那也跟航天有关，被一位美国教授劝阻了，我至今仍然感谢那位美国教授。

航天这行业许多工作跟军工敏感技术有关，需要 security clearance。你女儿虽然是混血，但毕竟外公是中国解放军退下来的，在美中关系敏感的今天，她将来能够拿到多高层级的 security clearance 是一个问题。即使她能拿到 security clearance，将来去看外公外婆及其他在中国的亲戚也会比较麻烦，更别说容易成为中国方面争取美国方面监控的目标，容易惹上不必要的麻烦。

我个人认为航天专业在当前这大环境下还是不要学比较好。
