What is kindness?

昨天在WI的朋友发来的事：

Was just at Festival Foods shopping...waiting in a long line to check out. A gentlemen with one item was looking a bit harried...I asked if he wanted to jump in front...he said yes and I thought nothing of it. Got done checking out and the cashier said he had left his change for me for allowing him to go first... He had paid for that one item with a $100 bill. $78 change .   
Need to play it forward ...
