Say "I apologize on my dog's behave".

If you do that, there is a good chance she will apologize to you for her mi*****ehavior.

Clearly, what she did is wrong. But if you struck back, you just prove you are no better. If instead you take the high road and show her what  a humble, self disciplined, and forgiving person you are, you have the total control of the situation. 

Bottom line is, there is no need to be  'an eye for an eye' for every little conflicts we run into in life. Everyone makes mistakes, it builds our character if we all practices a little forgiveness.
