My experience

My daughter had a good friend at school. They play at school and after school.

We went back to China for a month school time. That little still likes playing with my daughter but her new friend doesn't like to play with my daughter.

My daughter was pretty upset. I just encouraged her to play with other friends. Now she plays more with another kids and she is happy.

You can suggest the school counselor to help the kid find more friends.
