The only way to deal with a bully is to fight back. If not, he/she will continue to bully. I tell my children if someone is bulling you, tell the teacher but you are in no way a PUNCHING BAG. You must protect yourself at all times; then tell the teacher. The bulling may start when the teacher is not around, which is common. There was a situation at school that my daughter was being bullied. The teacher refused to place them seated apart. My daughter told me of the situation, and when I talked to the teacher, she said she put the children together because they needed to learn to get along. He would call my daughter four eyes and kick at her while she sat in the chair. They were both about nine or ten. Then one day I get this call because my daughter let loose on his tail at lunch. She told me what had happened and how all the students laughed at him getting beat. After that day, no more bully problems. I know we shouldn't encourage our kids to fight but all the share the same values.
