buy biggest as long as you can afford, nothing is perfect! iF Bay area drop in value, other places drops more! Don't forget the inflation!
for primary residence, you can forget the real estate cycle, it's the demand, in the next 20-30 years, bay area population with grow another 20-30 percent due to weather and new immigrants.
