since i am just an amateur (probablly exaggeration), i want a camera that can offset the skills. the big things i lack are reading the manual, learning how to use manual functions and carry a good tripod. this camera is very heavy. those mini tripods will definitely buckle under this monster. most of time i am just lazy, so perhaps i can't really say it is all camera's fault. nevertheless at that price level $1000, i have been wrongly expecting a perfect camera. i also spent $400 on memory, so you can understand now why it is a bit of disappointing.

in truth, for all my photography need, i would have been ok with a canon s510.
