I uploaded 3 photos and you can see yourself. The image stablization was very good at 7x zoom for the first photo taken around 6pm; the butterfly has excellent color capture; near dark photo was good, but not sharp.

Since I have a lot of storage, I would usually take a few more at different settings and choose the best ones.

EOD sounds like overkill for family need since it is even heavier than f828 with additional lenses.
