And parents should shut up on making advice about their future.

I think, well, at least I could be an influencer in their future, maybe.

By nagging on homework daily and laying out math courses online, I did just that.

My hope is they follow my lead. But I'd never, ever put too much pressure. 

Like my husband said, you don't want piss them off by weighing in too much.
