UT austin今天发录取，CS要求很高，好几个SAT (>1550)，GPA很高的都被拒了

    Sigh ... DS denied for CS. In state, top 14% of class, 1580 new SAT, 35 ACT, National Merit finalist, very rigorous courseload, 5 on AP CS, and what I thought were great essays, recs, and ECs. His brother was admitted to CS two years ago with lower stats. Pretty surprised that he was not even offered PACE - though it wouldn't have been an attractive option to him. Super disappointing, but now I will have to take my own advice and move on. He does have other good options and nice scholarship offers so we will have to try to focus on that. Still tough when I know his heart was at UT.

    @TexasMom2017 Wow... I would appeal (I know nothing about that process fyi) if those were your scores. I had a 1570, top 10%, NMF, and was looking at UT as a safety/backup and definitely would not have expected a denial for CS.
