Don't buy it out right.
A few years ago, My daughter's violin teacher kept telling us to buy a new one. Eventually we said yes. We told her that we wanted to buy one for around certain amount which will be our last one to buy. She said she has one for us for exact that amount. At the time, we trusted her so we bought it without trying it out at home. She demonstrated the violin for us. We didn't talk about price or anything. But after we paid and took it home we realized that it was not worth it. We had it appraised and were told much less value.
So I think you should take it home to play for a week and see if you think it is worth it. If yes, buy it otherwise, say no.
