I know in my son's school, field trips, parties, etc. are considered privileges. If a student got a few detentions (ex: tardy/discipline), suspension, discretion... then the student is on Lost Of Privilege list, can't go to these fun activities. But he/she can be removed from the list by meeting requirements/terms. These rules can be found in handbook or code of conduct...
