Well, this sounds like a huge LAN to me, so every CPU in supercomputer is just a standard alone computer? Do they share any resources like memory / disk ? Is there a single OS managing all these CPUs? Or each CPU has a seperate OS. If each CPU has a seperate OS, then this "supercomputer" sounds to me more like a super fast huge LAN which hosts a lot of computer....
