Here is what I heard from friends who recently cruised on Celebrity:
-Be sure to have something for sea sickness (the wrist band and/or sea sickness medicine). The sea was so choppy at times, even some crew got sea sick.
-If you book any excursions on your own, make sure it can be cancelled. At one port, the ship had to leave ahead of schedule because of a certain tide condition.
-My friends didn't find it worthwhile to do the Whitehorse train. If you have taken trains in southwestern China or Fujian, this is not really much. If you think about it, train rides are so rare and considered almost luxury items in America, whereas in China, it's nothing.
-Weather can be lousy but don't let the weather put you in a lousy mood. After all, you are heading for Southeastern Alaska rainforest. What's a rainforest without the rain?
Just what I heard.
