How is your general relationship with her?

If your relationship generally is pretty good with her, then she probably did not mean to force you out. However, evidently she has strong feeling of your communication skills. Whenver one formed an opinion, even small things could be put under microscope. On other hand, if you are not getting along with her, then definitely you won't feel very comfortable the rest of your time in her team.

Regardless, you did the right thing to let her know you disagree and were upset about it. If you feel your general communication with her is fine, you can sit down with her to discuss the possibility to move it up, and probably pose some gestures you will work with her. As a supervisor, she is also an employee. Depending on her power in the company, she might not want to make it too much a drama either.

You have been there for 10 years and she has been for 5. It looks your team is not a very high turn over team. See if it can work out. Of course, if she is knownly unpopular in the company and got many complains from all over, then you can do that too. It might add on HR list to force her out when time is right.
