(Bloomberg) -- A former Harvard University fencing coach
and a Maryland businessman were arrested and charged with
conspiring to get the man’s two sonsadmitted to the school
through bribes of more than $1.5 million, among the highest in
the U.S. college admissions scandal.
Peter Brand, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Jie “Jack”
Zhao, of Potomac, Maryland, were charged with conspiracy to
commit federal programs bribery. Both are scheduled to make
court appearances on Monday.
