"一股气直冲脑门", Event 2.

Seems Event 1 triggered Event 2.

But there was something happened in between the two events.

Their inadequacy (failure to remember, i.e., Event 1) triggered your own sense of inadequacy (plenty of instances lately whenever you had to gather your mental energy to deal with the challenges and wonder if you have done everything you shoud have, or you have come up short. "反复说了好几次" was one of them.)

This turned to fear, Event 1.5.

Fear turns into anger because the brain wants to rid itself of that sickening feeling (of fear.)  This is your "一股气直冲脑门", Event 2.

So, whenever you feel "一股气直冲脑门", think about what is that Event 1.5.

This way, you will less likely to get angry.

Or, the tension has been accumulating in your mind for the past many weeks, and the pressure was seeking a release.  The sight of the unflushed toilet just presented itself at the timely moment.

Or, the ungrateful family members are getting on your nerves after you have done so much for them.  Ask them to say thank  you and help with the chores.
