research/shadowing experience, plus overall school rep and more supportive school resources.

G-Town would offer considerable better overall opportunities in this regard.

UCB has some great resources, but apple-to-apple, it will be much more 僧多粥少

UCB medical school admission percentage is around 50-55%.

National average (of all colleges) is 40%+.

Most ivy-plus schools have 80-90%+ medical school admission rate.

It is a no brainer.

Just in case your kid likes law  or  business instead of medicine later, G-town would offer advantage as well.
