i have a question regarding how

grade is curved in college. I had thought the scores within mean +/- 1SD  is B. Above 1 SD is A, below 1 SD, but within -2SD is C. So on average, 15% A, 60% B, and 15% C.

Am I right? My son's high school does not curve, or the teacher curves based on their own method. So i do not know how the grade should be curved.
