MIT has top joint programs with Harvard on bio research, and Boston is a mecca for Bio industry, let alone MIT is the King Kong for engineering.

San Diego is also a Bio hotbed, so UCSD benefits.

Rice benefits from close tie with Texas Medical Center and Baylor.

All top 12 schools have some sort of strengths of their own.

For undergraduate study, definitely go with school first (US News本科排名) , 专业 second.
