Every kid I saw that won awards in formal city/provincial level

Turned out all like music. They may not like piano, but they found other instruments or assembly bands later.

Those 不摸一下琴 kids, their parents actually do not like music, they seldom play/sing music at home. those parents tell everyone that the kid is a prodigy, while actually the kids are way below the average. Those kids might attend some competition. because the parents are so music-blind, they could not tell the gold-level of one competition from another. When the kids lost a comeptition, instead of identify the weakness and establish a training plan, the parents blame the kids not practice long enough.

Those parents force kids to practice everyday by a fixed time, but when being asked by a question about grade1 or 2 concept, they will say, "how could I  understand that." or "My ears are not good enough to tell the difference."  Those kids turned out, hate music eventually. The failure is nothing to do with Tiger or Sheep parents. The kids are doomed because of the unreasonal,  lazy, at same time, glory-chasing parents.

How you expect that a kid turns out to love literature, when the parents are illiterated and so lazy that refuse to learn with the kids.
