Remain Hopeful

I just want to share my text message that I sent to someone who was upset this morning, to counsel someone and me.

The system is not rigged.  This is the beauty of democracy.  There will be ups and downs in the next four years. Remain hopeful that there will be more ups than downs.  Remain hopeful that he chooses his advisors wisely, that his adviors act wisely,  that he listens to his advisors from time to time, and that he trusts his gut feelings at building long term goodwill  bridges among fractions for the beterment of all , and  remain hopeful that he treats all people fairly, especially people who look different from him.
