Patrick Soon-Shiong is the son of a village doctor in China. This genius became a doctor when he was just 23 years. This surgeon turned businessman has already sold two successful businesses and has made $8.5 billion from these deals.

 

2) Jin Sook and Do Won Chang (Net Worth: $5.8 billion)

This successful couple founded the fast fashion retailer Forever 21 in 1984. All the members of their family are involved in running the business. Don is the CEO; Jin is the purchase head; their daughter Linda is into marketing and another daughter Esther takes care of visual display.

John Tu and David Sun founded Kingston Technology. This Chinese born businessman is a self-made billionaire. He studied electrical engineering in Germany. He is an active philanthropist.

Shahid Khan is the owner of Jacksonville Jaguars. Born in Pakistan, Khan immigrated to the US when he was 16.

 

6) Min Kao (Net Worth: $3.1 billion)

Min Kao is one of the founders of GPS maker Garmin. Min Kao and Gary Burrell started the company in 1989. He is a native of Taiwan. He donated $17.5 million to the University of Tennessee.

 

7) Andrew and Peggy Cherng (Net Worth:$2.9 billion)

This couple owns the Panda Express, a quick Chinese food restaurant chain. Panda Express has more than 1,600 restaurants in America and Puerto Rico. Based in Los Angeles, California, Andrew and Peggy are immigrants born in China and Burma respectively.

 

8) Roger Wang (Net Worth: $2.8 billion)

Roger Wang is the chairman and CEO of the Golden Eagle International Group. He is involved in philanthropic activities in both China and the US.

 

9) John Kapoor (Net Worth: $2.1 billion)

This entrepreneur moved to the US from India in the year 1964. He became a billionaire due to his holding in the pharmaceutical manufacturer INSYS Therapeutics. He is the founder and chairman of this Arizona based company.

 

10) Jerry Yang (Net Worth: $2 billion)

Jerry Yang is one of the founders of Yahoo Inc. He was born in Taiwan and moved to the US when he was 10 years. He quit Yahoo in January 2009. Currently he owns a venture firm, AME Cloud Ventures.
