Every year about 3 get into S through regular admission. For ~5 years, no one got in through EA. Not sure if any of the 3 was deferred or all EA were rejected.
Even the high school teachers and counselors recommend 12th graders think hard about this before they apply to S. One year, a kid with Gold Metal from International XXX Olympia was rejected (NOT DEFERRED). He thought he would be in for sure! He is a wonderful student, got admission from all other IVYs and MIT.
While S admit so many students in EA, the record of EA from this high school is just bad somehow.
