我家丫头AP除了中文，AP 都是在高中学校上的。

中文也是十几年上中文课的积累。 她没有自学AP。

我认为美国大学申请，不是看你考了几门AP， 而是看你有没有taken the most challenge curriculum available. 换句话说，如果学校不提供AP课，不上AP就无可非议。

We all have limited time and energy.  In my humble opinion, teaching self AP is not the best use of our limited resources. 

I know people don't believe me when I say this, but I will say it anyway: When deciding what to do and what not to do, don't make college applications the most important factor.  I'd consider where the child's passion lies, and what he/she will enjoy doing the most.  I think other things falls into their places when you think this way, and good colleges will all come in the process as well.
