GPA is not too hard, but courses are very different from others

The depth and breadth are significant.

Also, there are tons of internships opportunities. Schools have good mentorship from top professors.

UT honors have separate residential college hall, very much like attending an elite private college.

Pretty much with the same resource you can expect from top private colleges, if not more.
