is to inspire and to make things interesting.  Our job is to make it possible so they don't have to use 意志力(will power). Will power is like a bank account: the more you deposit in it, the more you have. The more you withdrew from it, the less you have .   All the 意志力comes from the same bank account, so if you depend on it, your bank account will be empty pretty quickly (burned out).

One thing I said to my children all the time is, "Playing is doing what you want to do. So you play all the time."

I don't believe in pushing children. Pushing may have some short term effect but long term it does not work. Not only that, it has many negative effect, a lot of which are irreversable. To excel, we have to have a passion for what we do and enjoy doing it.
