"家里的财产分成3份。孩子各一份，剩下的给俺们老两口留着。" WHY?

As soon as my kid college graduates (plus higher edu?), he is considered independent.  Maybe he needs my support for certain thing if it is the case, but my asset is not automatically regarded as part of his...not when I am alive.  In reality, I think seniors need a lot more money to be independent and happy.
