有谁知道是否多放退休计划确实能降低family contribution？

孩子秋天刚上UPENN Wharton。 一直以来的印象（不知道哪儿听来的）就是多放钱到retirement plan是可以价低学费等family contribution，不过一直也没有确认过。当然UPENN的网页上也不会有这方面的说明。结果正好本人新学期也换岗位了，到新地方把自己的20%工资都放退休计划去了，以前从来没放过那么多呵呵。

这儿是不是有大虾们知道在UPENN这是不是真的？如果是的话，是否各大学普遍如此？如果没多大区别我可不愿意放那么多钱到退休计划去。多谢啦。
