My old son started to cough Oct.11. He had fever and headache 101.4 on Monday night.
We went to see doctor at Sharp on Tuesday. The doctor told us he may get Swine flu, but they don't offer this kind of test.
They only give him Motrin.
My younger son had fever 102.4 in the early morning of Oct., 15 .
He is only 2 and half years, he didn't have flu shot. I took him to Children Hospital, I waited for 4 and half hour, we still didn't get chance to see doctor. I went to see doctor at Sharp instead. The doctor gave him Tamflu and told me the swine flu test has 50% error, they don't offer such test,
I think his situation is pretty serious, Motrin only can reduce his fever for 3 or 4 hours, he had high fever nearly all the time. We went to see doctor in Scripps on Friday. The doctor told us his situation is good, no Swine flu test necessary.
My both son are fine now except my younger son still has cough. He caught cold after he use Motrin and he sweat too much, I found he was all wet during night.
I am fine. But after I had flu shots this week, I also had cough and headache for one day, but no fever.
50% of my son’s classmates all got flu recently.
