Like others said, even if your son has ASD, it is high-functional. The fact that your son does not like noise, seems more like Asperger Syndrome (one kind of ASD). -- I am not a doctor and really know little about it. I do have a co-worker whose both kids have Asperger Syndrome. He mentioned the kids are very sensitive to sensory input (clothes, in his case). Both kids (7, 9) are doing fine and attending normal schools.
