My son had some time-out at Montessori when he was only 3 to 4 years old at that time. Sometime is because he made funny noise when circling; sometime was because he stretched his legs when circling. As the school repeat same lessons everyday, he was so bored, he knows solar system and all the planets, which one is gas planet, which one is not, all from the school, but they just repeat and repeat until everyone master it and repeat again next year. I don't value this, just memorizing.
We don't use time out at home, we reason with him. Luckily, my son is typical boy type, he forgets and move on.

Yes, I did. I don't think Montessori is suitable for boys.
