Exactly!!! I feel numbers of dentist in US are only living for money. Too many bad experience.
My son, 4.5 years old, he had 2 small cavities at his upper baby molars, very very small. We bought him to see a dentist, Indian guy. The dentist did lots of X-Ray and announced that all our son's teeth have cavities, need 8 caps and have to go for GA. Actually, we just did 2 small cavities clean at his lower baby molars in Shanghai this Feb. Can't believe it, I asked for copy of X-Ray and his notes. The dentist refused to give me the notes until I pointed out it is patient's property by HIPPA.
I asked if he can just drill and clean the cavities, he refused and walked away. That's fine, we don't want him either. The dentist is too greedy. I checked our insurance for clean the cavities, only 8 dollars for co-pay, but one cap cost you 200 copay, don't need to say the whole price.
Besides, these primary teeth are still growing, these caps will gone off quickly,then you need another one. But when I asked the dentist, he said baby teeth(primary teeth) will not grow. OMG!
I don't want my son gone through these unnecessary procedures. Just try to brush more and wait for another 2 years for perminent teeth to grow up.
