Our program continues Siemens' 150 year tradition of supporting math and science education. Your research project and Semifinalist ranking clearly demonstrate that you are an exceptional student - creative, competitive, brailliant- one of the future leaders of American science and engineering. To recognize your accomplishment, we will be announcing all of this year's Semifinalists in a full-page ad in the October 24th edition of USA Today and on the Siemens Foundation website at www.siemens-foundation.org on Friday, October 20th. The names of students advancing to the regional competitions will be posted ot the Siemens Foundation ebsite on Monday, October 30th.
In addition, to acknowledge your achievement we will be mailing your high school a banner to display announcing that there is a 2006-07 Siemens Competition Semifinalist at your high school. We will also be sending you a gift package that includes a copy of the ad in USA Today and other items that we hope you will enjoy and find useful as you pursue your studies. Those students advancing to the regional competitions will receive this gift package at their regional event.
There are many awards given for a wide variety of accomplishments but only one or two that set the standard of what it takes to be the very best.
