2. Set clear expectations – Straight A in high school; minimum 10 AP classes; minimum two sports participation; minimum 80 hours community service per year; minimum two music talents – singing counts; at least two after school clubs; organize and lead at least two events in high school.
3. Use every life examples to teach our value to them.
I, myself, is not doing well – degree from a very bad school, low salary, struggle to make ends meet etc. My children therefore are everything to me.
BTW, both my kids are doing well socially. To my disappointment, my D actually started dating even before high school. Both of them have good friends at and away from school. Even their teachers told me that my kids smiles at lot in school.
