These are the classes my D is taking in her first year in high school: AP Biology; Pre-calculus; Trigonometry; World Histry; Honor English; Honor Spanish; and Honor Science. Not until the open house that I realized how hard the classes are. Beside school classes, she serves on Class Cabinet, rows in crew team (Mon - Thur) and plays piano. On Saturday she does volunteer work and goes to Church and their youth group on Sundays.
Almost everyday she gets up around 6:45 AM and goes to bed around 11:00 PM. She came home last night and asked me to sign her mid term report card. She said "I messed up in two classes but I promise I will bring the scores up". She got two over 100%, three 100% and two in high 90s. But she already talked to the teachers to get extra works because she wants to get those two high 90s to at least 100%.
She is now after perfection. I kind feel bad looking at her - losing weight and not much time for fun stuff. Rowing will be ending soon (snows are coming) but she is signing up three more clubs. Should we say "no"? How do we slow her down?
How do I slow her down
